[origin: WO2010112169A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a functional layer of a building shell (2), wherein the building shell (2) has a shuttering (11) on the inside of the building and a majority of rafters (12) having rafter fields (14) provided between the rafters (12) and the shuttering (11). According to the present invention, it is provided that the functional layer is applied to the external side (15) of the shuttering (11) at least in some regions by way of painting and/or spraying, and after being applied thereto said functional layer forms an air and/or watertight foil (10), which is in particular designed as a vapor barrier.
