Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2613090A2] Fuel nozzles for gas turbines are provided that include liquid fuel cartridges. In one embodiment, a fuel nozzle (34) includes a fuel plenum plate (74) separating an air plenum (62) from a fuel plenum (58). The fuel nozzle also includes a plurality of mixing tubes (48) extending through the fuel plenum (58) from the fuel plenum plate (74) to a face plate (66). Each mixing tube (48) includes an air inlet (78) configured to receive air from the air plenum (62), a fuel inlet (82) disposed in a tube wall within the fuel plenum to direct fuel from the fuel plenum into the mixing tube to produce a fuel-air mixture, and a fuel-air outlet (80) configured to discharge the fuel-air mixture away from the face plate (66) into a combustion region. The fuel nozzle further includes a liquid fuel cartridge (50) extending through the air plenum (62) and the fuel plenum (58) to the face plate (66). The liquid fuel cartridge includes a liquid fuel passage (94).
