[origin: CH703630A2] The house hold fume hood has a dome for collecting fumes, a chimney arranged over the dome, a fan (3) and a filter arrangement arranged in the chimney. The filter arrangement has a set of four vertical filter plates (8,9,20) that are parallel to each other and are spaced from each other at the same height. A downwardly open inlet chamber (14) and an upwardly open outlet chamber (16) are formed between the filter plates.
