Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012031969A1] The invention relates in the first instance to a closure stopper (1) for pharmaceutical uses, in particular for leaktight closure of a receptacle containing a pharmaceutical agent, for example for closure of an ampoule (12) containing a medicament, with a sealing flange (3) for sitting sealingly on an end face of a closure mouth of the receptacle, wherein the sealing flange has a lower sealing surface and a boundary plane (E5), which lies on an area protruding farthest down and extends perpendicularly with respect to a centre axis of the closure stopper, with an engagement portion, which extends below the sealing flange and is designed with a smaller radial extent than the sealing flange, and, preferably, with a handling portion (2), which extends above the sealing flange, wherein a circumferential sealing projection (5) is also formed on the engagement portion (4) and protrudes by a radial extent (R1) beyond an axial part of the engagement portion (4) having a radius (D1) and firstly adjoining the sealing flange from underneath. To be able to fit the closure stopper advantageously in place with a good sealing action, it is proposed that the sealing projection (5) is coincident vertically, at least with respect to its foot portion, with a set-back area (Rb) formed on the sealing flange with respect to the contact plane.
