Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2617340A2] The device (10) comprises a unit (16) for detecting a pressure difference between a suction air pressure upstream of a dust collecting container (14) and another suction air pressure downstream of the dust collecting container. Another unit (17) is provided for adjusting the electrical power consumption of the vacuum cleaner motor (11), when the detected pressure difference is above or below a preset differential pressure threshold value. The pressure difference detection unit comprises a differential pressure switch, which cooperates with the electric power consumption adjusting unit. The switching signal is provided to increase or decrease the electrical power consumption of the vacuum cleaner motor on reaching the preset differential pressure threshold value. An independent claim is included for a method for influencing an electric power consumption of a vacuum cleaner motor.
