Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2012059253A1] The invention relates to an endoscope (10) for quantitatively determining dimensions of an object (5) in a cavity, wherein a projector (4) connected to a light guide (3) can be introduced through the instrument channel (7). In the introduced position, the projector projects a pattern at a defined illumination angle (a) onto the object (5) to be examined. The camera (1) captures said projected pattern at a fixed viewing angle (ß) in a distorted form corresponding to the object (5). By means of a triangulation method the distorted form is used for quantitatively determining dimensions of the object (5).
