[origin: WO2012038795A1] The object of the present invention is a thermostat (1) suitable for both the function of thermoregulation and thermal protection. Thermal protection is performed by a bistable bimetallic element (4) activated through one or more resistors (6) seated on the electronic board (8) of said thermostat (1). Said one or more resistors (6) are electrically powered when enabled by the microprocessor of said electronic board (8) when one or more electronic temperature sensors sense the exceeding of the critical safety temperature.
