Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2213462A2] The device has a feeding device (13) for feeding an object (2) to an application device (4), and a controller (11) for controlling the feeding device, an image storage device (30) and the application device. The controller has a detector device (19) for detecting a part (5) of a three dimensional structure (25) of the object, where the detector device is attached to the image storage device and/or the application device. The controller controls the application of fluid drops (14, 15) on the object corresponding to a print motive (3) depending on the detected three dimensional structure. An independent claim is also included for a method for applying fluid drops on a part of an object for forming a print motive.
