Active substance delivery device (1) for a toilet bowl, comprises a housing (2) having a front side, a back side and at least one first chamber (19) for receiving a cleaning composition, disinfecting composition, water treatment composition, and/or anti-lime composition, where the first chamber comprises at least one inlet and at least one outlet, and a suspending device (5) for suspending the housing at an edge of the toilet bowl such that the back side points in the direction of a stationary wall of the toilet bowl, and the front side points in the direction of a central region of the toilet bowl. The composition or the mixture is in form of a tablet, where the tablet has a cleaning agent compartment having a cleaning composition, and a chlorine compartment having a chlorine component, which is separated by the cleaning agent compartment, where a portion of a surface of the chlorine compartment is uncovered by the cleaning composition before the intended use, and the tablet is arranged in the first chamber such that the tablet with the surface of the chlorine compartment, which is uncovered by the cleaning composition and/or a barrier layer adjacent to the cleaning composition points in the direction of a full-surface wall of the first chamber.
