[origin: EP2620532A1] The machine has an outlet channel (8) associated to a vortex chamber (3). A portion of air, which is applied by spinning nozzles (7), is discharged via the outlet channel. A yarn forming element (5) includes a drain (9), which is provided adjacent to an inlet opening (6). A yarn is drawn from the vortex chamber via the drain. A cleaning element (10) includes an inlet (11) and an outlet (12), where a cleaning medium supplied to the cleaning element via the inlet is introduced into the vortex chamber via the outlet during a cleaning step. An independent claim is also included for a method for cleaning a vortex chamber of an air spinning machine.
