Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012041748A1] The invention relates to a seat arrangement for the physically disabled, in particular a wheelchair or pushchair, comprising a frame (24) having two mutually parallel bars (34), and a seat surface (27) which is disposed on the frame (24) and is secured thereon so as to be pivotable and displaceable in the direction of the bars (34). The object of the invention is to provide a wheelchair or similar seat arrangements for the physically disabled in which linear guiding and pivotable articulation are ensured with a simple construction having a high degree of stability and reliability. This object is achieved in that the seat arrangement comprises a securing unit (36) which secures the seat surface (27) displaceably and pivotably on at least one of the bars (34), the securing unit (36) having at least one axial bearing (38) through which one of the bars (34) projects, the securing unit (36) having a pivotable coupling element (35) for securing the seat surface (27), the coupling element (35) being disposed between the two bars (34).
