[origin: WO2012040891A1] A power tool comprises a housing, a motor (2) mounted in the housing and having a rotary spindle (4), a trigger (20) configured for switching on/off the motor (2), a support member (10) fixed to the housing, and a spindle lock (40) configured to be actuated to move in a first radial direction (Rl) to lock the spindle (4) and a second opposite radial direction (R2) to release the spindle (4). When the trigger (20) is switched on, it moves the spindle lock (40) in a first axial direction (Tl), and when the trigger (20) is switched off, the spindle lock (40) is allowed to move in a second opposite axial direction (T2). The spindle lock (40) has a positioning member (44) which cooperates with a stop portion (12) of the support member (10) to prevent the power tool from being switched on and being locked at the same time.
