Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012042028A1] The invention relates to a device for removing macro-fibres from logs (2), comprising at least a pair of rollers (1) with cutting webs (3) which are directed to each other and extend largely in the circumferential direction, characterized in that the distance of the cutting webs (3) from the roller axis increases in at least one roller (1) of the pair of rollers towards the edge of the roller and decreases towards the axial centre of the roller (1). In a method for producing wood composite material, macro-fibres are produced using such a device, dried and largely aligned in parallel. A binder having a foam structure is then applied on the macro-fibres, a press is closed and the binder is foamed up.
