Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2012042162A1] The present invention relates to the use of a copolymer comprising polyether (PE) blocks and polyamide (PA) blocks for manufacturing a transparent object that is resistant to high-speed impacts and resistant to shocks, wherein said copolymer has the following characteristics: said PA blocks include more than 50 mol % of an equimolar combination of at least one cycloaliphatic diamine and at least one aliphatic carboxylic diacid having 12 to 36 carbon atoms; said PA blocks constitute 20 to 90 wt % of the total weight of the copolymer; the numerical molecular weight of the PA blocks is within the range of 1,000 to 10,000 g/mol; said PE blocks constitute 10 to 80 wt % of the total weight of the copolymer; and the numerical molecular weight of the PE blocks is between 200 and 1,000 g/mol.
