Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012089950A2] The invention relates to a method for managing the automatic stopping and starting of a heat engine of a vehicle including an onboard power grid having an ultracapacitor module (44), said method including determining a reference voltage of the ultracapacitor module (44), which comprises: calculating an optimal voltage corresponding to the nominal operation of the onboard power grid (20), the reference voltage being selected, by default, to be equal to the optimal voltage; calculating a maximum voltage corresponding to a protective limit voltage of the onboard power grid (20), said protective limit voltage being calculated on the basis of a status variable for the starter-generator (64), the reference voltage being selected so as to be equal to the maximum voltage when the optimal voltage is greater than the reference voltage. The invention makes it possible to improve the management of the automatic stopping and starting of a motor vehicle while lengthening the lifespan of the components included in the onboard power grid.
