Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012041561A1] The invention relates to a thermoelectric device comprising: pipes (8), known as hot pipes, through which a first fluid can flow; and elements (3p, 3n), known as thermoelectric elements, which can be used to generate an electric current in the presence of a temperature gradient. According to the invention, the device includes fins (5p, 5n) which can be configured in a heat exchange relationship with pipes (9), known as cold pipes, through which a second fluid can flow at a temperature below that of the first fluid. In addition, the thermoelectric elements (3p, 3n) are in contact with the hot pipes (8) and the fins (5p, 5n), such that said thermoelectric elements (3p, 3n) generate the above-mentioned current.
