[origin: EP2622989A1] The apparatus (1) has a coil body (3) comprising a proximal part (3p) to a handle (2) and a distal part (3d) to the handle. A grip (7) holds a hair lock onto the coil body. A heating unit (4) heats the coil body, and an external surface of the proximal part comprises heat reducing units (31) that comprise rings, where the rings are made of thermal resistant material. The rings insulate around the proximal part and exhibit a cylindrical form that exhibit constant thickness. The ring is made of Velcro (RTM: hook and loop fastener).
