[origin: EP2623702A2] The guide rail (10) is divided in a carrier profile arrangement (200) and a guide rail profile (400). The carrier profile arrangement comprises a channel section with the channel (310). The guide rail profile has two shanks (450), which are arranged on a side of a guide groove (420) such that the guide rail profile covers the carrier profile arrangement in an opaque manner in the assembled state. The carrier profile arrangement has a carrier section, which is made of plastic. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a method for mounting a guide rail on a window frame; and (2) a guide rail profile with a fastening unit.
