[origin: EP2624276A1] The electrical switch (10) has an operating lever that is passed from ON position into triggered position, if a trigger device triggers to stop flowing current (I) during failure by turning OFF the switch. A motor drive (30) is mounted at a switch housing (20), for covering the operating lever optically. A position sensor is provided to detect a position of an operation lever and to generate a position of covered position signal of operating lever. A light source (60) of control device is turned ON or OFF in response to position signal of sensor, if light is visible from the outside. An independent claim is included for method for operating electrical switch.
