[origin: WO2012045548A1] The invention relates to fibre boards with homogeneous or function-oriented bulk density profiles and to methods for producing them, which methods comprise the following steps: application of binder to the fibres, dispersal of the fibres which are provided with binder, forming of the fibres to form a nonwoven, precompressing of the nonwoven under the application of pressure to form a mat, and uniform heating of the mat, and pressing of the mat to form a fibre board with the application of pressure and simultaneous heating of the plate. In order to produce a partially defined bulk density profile, the press pressure which is applied during pressing is controlled in such a way that the press pressure is increased in a partially targeted manner with respect to the counterpressure which is produced within the fibre board, and otherwise the press pressure and the counterpressure which is produced within the fibre board are equally great. In order to produce a homogeneous bulk density profile, the press pressure which is applied during pressing is controlled in such a way that the press pressure and the counterpressure which is produced within the fibre board are always equally great.
