[origin: WO2012045767A1] The present invention relates to a ceramic tile (1) comprising a fine stoneware body (2) whose surface (3) is provided at least partly with a decorative layer (4), and having a transparent protective layer (5) covering the decorative layer (4) and the surface (3). This transparent protective layer (5) is applied in a wet coating process using an organic coating material, and the surface (3) of the fine stoneware body (2) is unglazed. The invention further relates to a method for producing a ceramic tile (1) of this kind.
