The longitudinal conveyor (1) comprises a drum (33), which is rotationally driven by a drive unit in a rotational movement around a rotational axis. Multiple lever arms (8) are provided, which are rotationally driven around another rotational axis, where the latter rotational axis is arranged parallel to the former rotational axis. Arms (9) are rotatably mounted on the lever arms, where a receptacle (10,11) for a rod-shaped product (6,7) is provided on each arm. The longitudinal conveyor is adapted to twist the elliptical movement path of the receptacles. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a conveying device with a longitudinal conveyor and a guide unit; and (2) a method for operating a longitudinal conveyor.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft einen Längsförderer (1) für stabförmige Produkte (6,7) der Tabak verarbeitenden Industrie mit: -einer mittels einer Antriebseinrichtung (24) zu einer Drehbewegung um eine erste Drehachse rotatorisch antreibbaren Trommel (33), -einer Mehrzahl von rotatorisch um zweite Drehachsen antreibbaren Hebelarmen (8), wobei die zweiten Drehachsen parallel zu den ersten Drehachsen angeordnet sind, und wobei -die Hebelarme (8) an der Trommel (33) drehbeweglich gelagert und zu einer zu der Drehbewegung der Trommel (33) gegensinnigen Drehbewegung mit einer zu der Drehzahl der Trommel (33) identischen Drehzahl oder einem ganzzahligen Vielfachen der Drehzahl der Trommel (33) antreibbar sind, und -an den Hebelarmen (8) drehbar gelagerten Armen (9), an denen jeweils wenigstens eine Aufnahme (10,11) für ein stabförmiges Produkt (6,7) vorgesehen ist, welche während der Drehbewegung der Trommel (33) auf einer elliptischen Bewegungsbahn (43,44) von einem Übernahmepunkt (I) zu einem Übergabepunkt (II) der Produkte (6,7) bewegt werden, wobei -der Längsförderer (1) dazu eingerichtet ist, die elliptische Bewegungsbahn (43,44) der Aufnahmen (10,11) zu verdrehen.
