[origin: EP2626117A1] The unit (10) has two levers pivoting corresponding to left and right engaging levers (32L, 32R). A displacing section displaces corresponding to a clamping element (40). A hinge element (48) is pivotably connected with the levers at first and second pivot bearings (50, 54). The hinge element is pivotably connected with the displacing section at a third pivot bearing (52), which lies between the first and second pivot bearings. A lever mechanism carries out conversion between pivoting movements of the engaging levers and a displacing movement of the clamping element. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a touring ski binding (2) a ski-jump binding.
