[origin: EP2626560A1] The hermetic pump (1) comprises an elastic tube (3), which is hermetically sealed in a housing (2) arranged between an outlet-sided valve (4) and an inlet-sided valve (5). Induction windings (8) are provided on or in the elastic tube, which are electromagnetically coupled with an excitation winding (7) enclosing the elastic tube. The excitation winding encloses a portion of the elastic tube in the longitudinal direction of the elastic tube. An area between the housing and the elastic tube is filled with a cooling liquid. An independent claim is included for a method for operating a hermetic pump.
