Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012049119A1] A method for the continuous processing of a product by way of phase separation into at least two liquid phases, while additionally clarifying solids, the processing of the product taking place in a continuously working centrifuge that is designed as a separator which has a rotatable drum (3) having a vertical a vertical axis of rotation (D), in which drum a disk stack having risers is provided, and which drum has a product feed tube (4) and at least two separation elements (13, 16) for leading off a light and a heavy liquid phase from the drum and solid discharge openings (10) for leading off a solid phase from the drum, a separation zone between the light and the heavy liquid phase (HP, LP) being formed in the centrifuge, is characterized in that the light liquid phase (LP) is lead off continuously and the heavy liquid phase (HP) and the solid phase are lead off discontinuously from the drum (1).
