[origin: WO2012049039A1] The invention relates to a cleaning device 1 for a component exposed to lint of a household appliance for the care of laundry items, comprising a container 2 which is designed to receive rinsing liquid for rinsing the lint off the component and comprises a rinsing chamber 3 and a storage chamber 4, wherein the rinsing chamber 3 has an inlet 6 via which the rinsing liquid can be delivered to the rinsing chamber 3 by way of a pump. A screen 24 for cleaning the rinsing liquid in the rinsing chamber 3 is arranged in the area of the inlet 6. A first outlet 8 for conducting the cleansed rinsing liquid from the rinsing chamber 3 to the component is designed on a side of the screen 24 which is opposite the inlet 6. A second outlet 9 for discharging the excess rinsing liquid from the rinsing chamber 3 is arranged on the side of the screen 24 on which the inlet 6 is designed. The invention further relates to a laundry dryer comprising such a cleaning device 1 and to a method for cleaning a component exposed to lint.
