[origin: WO2012059097A2] Disclosed is a bridge laying vehicle comprising a bridge (1) that can be laid and has two pivotally interconnected bridge elements (2, 3) which are folded on the bridge laying vehicle (14) in a transported position. One of the two bridge elements (2) can be swiveled relative to the other bridge element (3) from the transported position by means of a swiveling device (13) located on the bridge laying vehicle (14). Also disclosed is a method for laying a bridge (1) that can be laid and has two pivotally interconnected bridge elements (2, 3) which are folded on a bridge laying vehicle (14) in a transported position. In said method, one of the two bridge elements (2) is swiveled relative to the other bridge element (3) from the transported position by means of a swiveling device (13) located on the bridge laying vehicle (14).
