Abstract (en)
The roller has radially outermost contact regions lying on a cylindrical envelope. Protrusion parts are mounted on straight profile strips whose width is a fraction of the roller length, where the protrusion parts are fixed close to a roller surface and include desired density of a lining part. A base band (3) includes a rectangular cross section whose width is a fraction of the axial length of an occupied area. A base side of the cross section constitutes the base, and a support side is provided on a surface of the roller in the occupied area in closely adjacent helical windings.

Eine Walze zum Führen einer Flachbahn ist mit einer Vielzahl von Vorsprüngen (1), z.B. Borstenbündeln (19) besetzt. Um diese Vorsprünge auf den Walzenmantel aufzubringen, wird eine Profilleiste endlos extrudiert. In einer Ausführung werden die Vorsprünge mit dem Basisband (3) extrudiert in Form einer Wulst, die sodann durch Schnitte (4) zu Vorsprüngen vereinzelt werden. In einer anderen Ausführung wird das Basisband der Profilleiste nach dem Extrudieren mit Borsten bestückt, welche die Vorsprünge bilden. Nach Herstellung der einzelnen Vorsprünge wird die Profilleiste schraubenförmig auf den Walzenmantel aufgewickelt, von Walzenmitte aus unter sehr kleinem Winkel von 0,3-10 Grad von der Mitte nach außen Bei einer Trägerwalze mit Spreizwirkung wird die Spreizwirkung durch die segmentierten und damit frei beweglichen Vorsprünge erzeugt, die sich unter Warenbahndruck nach zum Seitenrand der aufgewickelten Profilleiste verformen.
