[origin: EP2631186A1] The device has a housing, and a receiving space (84) for receiving a folded film tube (86). The film tube surrounds a shaft (56) through which an inwardly folded-over tube section of the film tube extends from top to bottom. A hose portion extends downwardly along a transporting conveyor unit. A welding and cutting unit is utilized for welding the tube section along transverse seams. A weld cycle is provided for welding the tube section, where releasing of weld cycle is triggered to weld the tube section and for separating a lower end of the tube section.
