Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2631359A2] The rope (100) has loops (112, 113) formed such that the rope is fixed with the loops at respective anchorage points. Fibers (110) in a portion (S) of the rope are embedded into a shaping matrix material (120) e.g. duroplastic material and/or thermoplastic material and/or elastomer, so that the rope in a region of the portion exhibits a defined and fixed cross section area and -form. The fibers are connected to form the rope. A large portion of the fibers embedded in the matrix material runs elongated to each other in an untwisted manner, where the matrix material comprises silicone. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a high safety rope.
