[origin: EP2636482A1] The system (10) has a workpiece (12) provided with workpiece outer surface (18) and inserted into groove-shaped recess (20). A superfinishing tool is provided for fine machining of the surface (22) of the groove-shaped recess. The superfinishing tool is in the form of a belt (14). The effect profile of effect portion is coordinated to a groove profile (24) of the groove-shaped recess. The effect portion is extended along the groove-shaped recess. The contact surface is made in contact with the surface of the groove-shaped recess. An independent claim is included for method for superfinishing of workpiece.
