The device (100) comprises a hydraulic unit (150) or a pneumatics unit that hydraulically and/or pneumatically pressurizes a tensioning roller (110). The tensioning roller is rotatably supported on a carrier (114). The hydraulic or pneumatics unit is provided with a piston cylinder unit (130) that is arranged for pressurization of the tensioning roller between a base board (115) of the carrier and a counter bearing (140).
