Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012064196A1] The invention refers to a portable plant for a systematic oil absorbent production comprised by three interconnected portable modules: (a) a) a module for storing the substances used in the adsorbent production (M1 ) comprising the storing tanks for NCO isomers and vegetal resins (AT 1.1 ), pressurized storing silos for enzymes and pigments (AT 1.2) and a tank for storing the produced and granulated adsorbent (AT 1.3); (b) a module for processing the adsorbent (M2) comprising pumps for dosing the substances (AT 2.1, AT 2.2, AT 2.3, AT 2.4 e AT 2.5) into a blender in a block injecting machine(AT 2.6), a drying and hardening unit for the moulded blocks (AT 2.7), a mill (AT 2.8) for granulating the adsorbent and a pneumatic transport device (AT 2.9) for sending the granules to the ejection module (M3) and (c) an ejection module (M3) for the adsorbent onto the oil spill comprising an air compressor (AT 3.7), water repression pump (AT 3.3), a device for mixing air/water (AT 3.4) which impels the adsorbent granules into a launching canon, and a launching canon (AT 3.5) for the adsorbent material using a mixed air/water system with ejection indicator. The plant is complemented by auxiliary systems in order to produce and disperse the adsorbent directly at the oil spill area - on land, offshore, in rivers or lakes.
