[origin: WO2012083940A2] The invention relates to a double-floor design with flooring panels (1) and a support structure to be placed on a sub-floor on which the flooring panels (1) can be laid abutting one another edge to edge and spaced from the sub-floor. According to the invention the support structure comprises support rails (3, 4) which extend below the joints (9) between the flooring panels (1) along the joints (9), and the flooring panels (1) and support rails (3, 4) comprise devices (10, 16) for vertically fitting the flooring panels (1) onto the support rails (3, 4), wherein the edge faces of the flooring panels (1) forming the joints (9) are pressed together horizontally.
