[origin: EP2450759A1] The device (10) has a guiding unit or attracting unit provided on two sides of ends (2, 3), where the guiding or attracting unit guides pivoting of one of the ends or attracts the end to maintain the end abutting on a pole piece (4). Another guiding unit or attracting unit is provided in proximity to another pole piece (6) for guiding the pivoting of another end or attracting the latter end towards the latter pole piece. The former and latter guiding or attracting units move along an axial direction (D) between stop members. A viscous friction damping unit dampens the movement of the pieces. An independent claim is also included for a magnetic and/or electrostatic pivot, comprising a timepiece component.
