The at least one heating conductor layer (3) contains carbon nanotubes and/or graphites, and the substrate material has enamel (8), metal, in particular stainless steel, plastic or glass. The method for production of a domestic appliance heater (1) has at least the steps of (a) application of a coating material containing carbon nanotubes and/or graphites and in the form of at least one heating conductor layer (3) to a substrate material of a substrate (2) having enamel, stainless steel, plastic or glass, and (b) curing of the coating material.
