[origin: EP2639349A1] The method involves heating air for drying laundry by a burner (10), and supplying a portion of air for drying the laundry to the burner as circulating air during a section of the drying process. The fresh air is transported to the burner in a phase of drying, in which a predominant portion of the circulating air is supplied to the burner. The fresh air is transported to the burner such that it is blown into burner under pressure through a fan. The fresh air behind the burner is supplied to the heated air or to the circulating air if necessary before the air reaches the laundry to be dried. An independent claim is included for a dryer for laundry.
