[origin: EP2639486A1] The device has a body (20) supporting an end piece equipped with a sealing joint (24) comprising an outer surface in which an area is in shape of a truncated cone. The end piece forms a distal end of a stem that includes a cylindrical head (40) at its proximal end. The body comprises a tubular area, and a shoulder (36) is placed at one of the ends and arranged such that the head slides inside the tubular area until the shoulder is reached. Elastic units comprise a spring housed inside the tubular area, where the spring applies force to the head in the direction of the shoulder. The sealing joint is made of rubber. An independent claim is also included for a method for sealing an aircraft pipe.
