Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012065776A1] A workbench, in particular for the workshop sector, has a tabletop (5) and supports (10, 20) engaging thereon. The tabletop (5) has at least two tabletop parts (2, 59) which are held pivotably about a hinge axis (4) by means of a hinge (3) and can be folded up from a working position having a substantially horizontal profile into a folded position in which the tabletop parts (2, 59) are oriented approximately parallel to each other. A first tabletop part (59) is supported on two supports (20), which are pivotable thereon about a pivot axis (61), by means of in each case one obliquely running supporting strut (11) which is held at one end on the first tabletop part (59) at a transverse distance from the hinge axis (4) so as to be pivotable about a first pivot axis (27) and at the other end on the respective support (20) so as to be pivotable about a second pivot axis (54) and is formed from two struts (38, 21) which are connected via a joint (22) and are lockable in the region of the joint (22) by means of a locking device (26) and are releasable by means of a release device (40) and, after being released, are foldable.
