[origin: WO2012065681A2] The invention relates to a method for assisting the automated landing of an unmanned aerial vehicle (2) on a target of a landing surface (16) on a ground unit (3). The invention comprises the following steps: determination of an approach vector in the ground unit (3), said vector extending from the target towards the aerial vehicle (2); transmission of the approach vector to the aerial vehicle (2); and steering of the aerial vehicle (2) using the received approach vector.
