[origin: WO2012143200A1] The invention relates to an exhaust chute for an overvoltage arrester, to an overvoltage arrester, and to a set of overvoltage arresters arranged in a row. The exhaust chute (2, 2a) is provided for an overvoltage arrester (1), in particular for a high voltage arrester or a medium voltage arrester. The exhaust chute (2, 2a) is configured for back-to-back mounting to a second exhaust chute (2a, 2), each of the chutes having at least one water drainage channel (16). A water discharge opening (17) of the at least one water drainage channel (16) is arranged asymmetrically relative to the back-to-back mounting, such that the water discharge openings (17) of two back-to-back mounted exhaust chutes are not positioned on top of each other. Consequently, no water from the water discharge openings (17) of an upper exhaust chute (2a) can flow into the water discharge openings (17) of a lower exhaust chute (2a). The overvoltage arrester comprises at least one such exhaust chute positioned at the end of said overvoltage arrester.
