[origin: EP2642457A2] The building access control system (1) has a door camera (3), which is connected to a door (2) of a building (G), and is mounted and arranged to receive an image of one object located in front of the camera of the door. The received image is displayed on a screen (5) inside the building. An evaluation unit (6) is provided for evaluating the camera recorded image for detecting a pattern, such that the door is actuated according to the evaluation result. The object is displayed on a display (9) of a mobile terminal which is held by a person (P-A) in front of the camera door of the building. An independent claim is included for a method for performing access control to buildings.
