[origin: WO2013020733A1] The invention relates to a covering for suitcases, comprising a tubular cover (2) which can be pulled over or in other words fitted onto a suitcase, is open on both sides and consists of at least two different sections produced from different materials, wherein at least one section of the covering connects the two tube openings (8) and consists of an elastic material; and, at each tube opening (8), a strap (5) that spans the tube opening (8) and is provided with a reclosable mechanism, wherein the ends of the strap (5) are fastened opposite one another at each tube opening (8).
