Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012069736A1] The invention relates to a process for moulding a solid material, termed eco-compatible material, in which: a solid organic material comprising at least one compound selected from the group made up of polysaccharides and polypeptides is selected, said solid organic material having a moisture content of less than 12%, then this solid organic material is subjected to a moulding step in which said solid organic material is placed in a mould and the solid organic material is compressed at a predetermined temperature and at a predetermined pressure; characterized in that the predetermined temperature and the predetermined pressure are designed to allow a decrease in the specific volume of the solid organic material at a substantially constant mass.
