[origin: WO2012069547A1] In order to generate a novel security feature for documents of value and/or security documents, a document of value and/or security document (10) having preferably at least one document layer (13, 14) is created. A first pattern formed from first image elements (14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4, 14.5) is located in one or more first planes. Furthermore, a second pattern, which is formed from second image elements (13.1, 13.5) and is arranged in register in relation to the first image elements (14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4, 14.5) of the first pattern is located in one or more second planes. The second image elements (13.1) are located between the first image elements (14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4) and outer sides of the document of value and/or security document (10). A second image element (13.1) is arranged in each case only over some of the first image elements (14.1, 14.2, 14.3, 14.4). The first pattern elements (14.1 to 14.5) are of transparent and/or translucent design. It is also the case that the rest of the document of value and/or security document (10), as seen along a viewing axis (S), is of transparent and/or translucent design, with the exception of the second pattern elements (13.1, 13.5), in the region of the first pattern elements (14.1 to 14.5), and therefore it is possible to make out, by transmitted light, information defined by the patterns.
