[origin: US2012135526A1] Low pressure biolistic barrels and biolistic devices including the same are provided. Aspects of the biolistic barrels include the presence of one or more pressure-reducing elements. Also provided are kits which include the biolistic barrels, as well as methods of delivering a molecule to a target site with the biolistic barrels and devices that include the same. The devices and methods described herein find use in a variety of applications, including in vivo and in vitro high-precision delivery applications.
