Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2012069294A2] The invention relates to a method for simulating shots at a target (22), using a simulation weapon, during a combat training simulation. According to the invention, the target is located out of the direct sight of the shooter or beyond the maximum distance authorised by the technology used to carry out said shot simulation. A processing unit (17) of the shot simulator comprises means for producing, in real time, an imaginary shot trajectory of a ballistic behaviour of the simulated projectile in order to reach the designated target. The processing unit (17) displays, on an eyeglass (14) of the simulation weapon, a succession of simulation images representing the simulated projectile following the trajectory produced. The processing unit (17) can also deduce, from the trajectory produced, the destroyed character of the target, by comparing the point of impact of the simulated projectile in relation to the position of the target (22).
