[origin: EP2645744A2] The system (1) has an external earpiece (3) worn in an auditory canal and connected by an earpiece tube (4) to a hearing instrument housing (2). An earpiece tube connector (5) connects a housing-side segment (6) of the earpiece tube to an earpiece-side segment (7) of the earpiece tube. The earpiece tube connector forms an electrically conducting connection that is mechanically stable with respect to release and allows variable and reversible longitudinal displacement and rotation of the housing-side segment and the earpiece-side segment in relation to one another.
