Abstract (en)
The device (12) has a rectifier unit (30) provided for rectifying current of an electric power source (18) i.e. power supply. The rectifier unit comprises quick-recovering rectifying elements (32, 34, 36, 38) i.e. diodes. A heating frequency unit (50) applies energy over the rectifier unit in an operating mode and supplies an induction heating unit (20) i.e. cook field inductor, with a high frequency alternating current. A resonance unit (60) forms a resonance pitch circle with the induction heating unit and is connected directly with the electric power source in the operating mode. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an induction heating device.

Die Erfindung geht aus von einer Induktionsheizvorrichtung (12), insbesondere Induktionskochfeldvorrichtung, mit zumindest einer Gleichrichtereinheit (30), die dazu vorgesehen ist, Strom einer Elektroenergiequelle (18) gleichzurichten. Um eine Hochfrequenztauglichkeit und/oder eine Effizienz zu verbessern wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Gleichrichtereinheit (30) zumindest ein schnellerholendes Gleichrichterelement (32, 34, 36, 38) aufweist.
