[origin: WO2012076251A1] The invention relates to a strand casting system (100) for casting a metal strand (10). The arrangement of the strand casting system (100) describes a mold (20) for forming the metal strand (10) and a strand guide (30) comprising at least one first strand guide segment (31) which lies downstream of the mold (20) in the casting direction (R). The strand guide segment (31) comprising a strand inlet side (38) and a strand outlet side (39) has a pair of roller supports (60, 61) which are arranged opposite each other within the first strand guide segment (31) in order to guide the metal strand (10) exiting the mold (20). The aim of the invention is to allow a flexible and quick adjustment of the format thickness of the metal strand (10). This is achieved in that a first coupling point (40) is arranged between the mold (20) and the first strand guide segment (31).
